As these tulips bent toward the light, their petals flared out and the efeect reminded her of party dresses. She chose this particular vase to complement the tulips because its elegant lines suggested movement, and the light seemed to dance through the sparkling crystal. "In order to grow as an artist, it's important to take on new challenges. This is the most intricate piece of glass that I have ever tried to paint. It took me about two weeks to draw and paint it, but in the process, I figured outa new way to make the highlights sparkle.
